GIVE THE GIFT OF MUSIC!

At the Music Therapy Wellness Clinic we are passionate about supporting people living with dementia.

We understand how heartbreaking it can be to witness the impact dementia has as it advances. We also know how positive the experience of Music Therapy can be for this population.

Countless times we have seen live music bring about responses that have not been seen or heard from a person for months. We've witnessed those who are no longer able to communicate, sing or tap their foot to the music.

Songs from childhood and adulthood are deep rooted in our subconscious, with studies showing that musical memory is often longer lasting than other forms of memory. Engaging in live music with a therapist has been shown to:

- Reduce Agitation
- Enhance Interaction & Minimise Isolation
- Support Quality of Life/Wellbeing
- Reduce Anxiety
- Improve mood
- Maintain & Stimulate Cognitive Function

A qualified Music Therapist will use guitar and singing to engage your loved one in shared music making. They may sing along, keep the beat on a small instrument, choose songs or simply sit and listen. They will have the opportunity to share their thoughts & memories, to chat and feel supported. This special 1:1 service offers quality time with a Music Therapist who truly cares and travels to you! For more information, fill in your details below and Sarah (pictured below) will be in touch within 24 hours.
